Had the Ben Parker half of (now defunct) duo Ben and Jason ever sacrificed viciously strumming his trusty acoustic guitar to instead grapple with a violin, he'd have put on a show something like that of Story One's energetic frontman.

As it is, violin-wielding vocalist Tom Evans is left in a charmingly manic class of his own as he and his band dazzle with one of the most entertaining sets of the year's Middlesbrough Music Live festival.

Despite an ever-increasing tally of gigs around the rest of the country this is Story One's first trip to the North East but, judging by the reaction of the Teesside crowd, Tom and bandmates Mike (drums), Gerald (bass) and Barny (guitar) would be wise to make a swift return to capitalise further on the interest generated by their impressively tight performance.
