MULL HISTORICAL SOCIETY
- Us
Review by Dawn
Bleating sheep, shipping forecasts and choirboys... it could only be the
return of Mull's favourite son, Colin MacIntyre. It's
a more overtly personal album than his debut effort, Loss, with
less character-based tales and, according to Colin, 'more about me', but
fear not; the traditional, irresistible melodies and adorable choruses
remain, as do the wonderfully-titled songs such as Minister for Genetics
and Insurance MP. Recent single The Final Arrears gave a
good indication of the delights on offer here and, as his website proudly
proclaims, Colin's not-so-secret society is getting bigger all the time.
